This is what we do

Founded in 2002 by Phoenix DU, the Dangsters dance crew was soon joined by founding members DENG Hongwen, LI Zhuying, LA Xin, and Mimane MUSA. 

Together, and with the unconditional support of the Verplancke Group Ltd. they built one of the most influential dance center in China. 

Acclaimed and rewarded both inside and outside of China, they strive to empower the Chinese street-dance scene, and put Chinese dancers on the world dance map.

Today, with a team strong of 40 dance professionals, they're training hundreds of dancers and provide dance solutions to companies and individuals.

Meet the team

Mimane Musa · DIRECTOR

  • FRENCH DIRECTOR Mimane arrived in China back in 2007 to study Management and Trade with Asian markets. After graduation, Mimane started working with the Dangsters, then took the direction of the studios in 2011. Since day one, Mimane has been building bridges in and out of China through dance, producing cross-cultural art shows, dance exchanges, residencies etc. Today, working alongside a dynamic and dedicated team he is still following the same path, putting China and the Chinese youth on the world dance map.

FEI DU · FOUNDER & ARTISTIC DIRECTOR

  • THE HEART OF DANGSTERS Trained a professional dancer, Fei DU (a.k.a. Phoenix DU) founded the Dangsters Dance Crew in 2002. Commonly known as "DU MA" (which translates as Mother Du), she is the co-director of the studios and artistic director of the dance compagnie.

  • BUILT TO LAST  The Dangsters dance studios is more than Mimane and Fei, it is the dedication of a solid team of more than 40 professionals who've been commited to a common vision for more than 15 years. The Dangsters studios is one of the longest lasting private dance company in China today and they are here to stay.

  • PART OF A LARGER FAMILY  The Dangsters dance studios is part of the Verplancke Group since 2011. It evolves alongside other prestigious brands such as the O'Reilly's Irish Pubs and Chaba Brewing.
